Just a day or so before I took the photo above I saw the neighbors generously sprinkling grass seed, trying to repair this rutty, muddy mess. Then someone must have slipped and become stuck...
Their trying has become very trying for me!

So they buy some flowers and plant them. More trying. But they don't trim the grass on the already ugly edging of broken concrete, so it looks terrible. And I predict the flowers will die back in the next rain-less heat wave--when they forget to water!
