| Lake Michigan turns green! |
A skunk in my yard, poop on the pergola, a record-setting heat wave and now our big beautiful lake is turning green! How much worse can things get this summer?
Tuesday I traveled to Grand Haven State Park to enjoy the day with two other July-birthday friends. In the wake of all the 90+ degree days here in Michigan, the algae has taken over the lake here where the river meets the lake.
We ventured into the waves briefly to cool off. Later in the shower we discovered some green chunks in our swimsuits. Nasty!
Lots of people were in the dark water but others were finding more pleasure building castles in the sand. My experience with the beach so far this year leads me to say, "POOP ON THE BEACH!!"
