My New Mean Machine

I'm blown away by my birthday gift from the Florida contingent of the family! They thought I could use a mean power tool this year.

 My uncle has these bigger more powerful yard machines which I sometimes borrow, but I have always purchased the cheap wimpy things that die before their time. Now I have a real man's Husqvarna 350BT Midsize Back Pack Blower.

My son-in-law G. suggested that I could blow away whomever (or whatever) gets annoying--in this my year of living meaner! He has a similar blower--and when I get used to mine, maybe he hopes I will be able to manage his machine the next time I come in the spring, when his large live oaks have littered the yard!

Mystery box arrived on my birthday

I would like it if it would help me to scare away all those munching and digging animals in my yard. It's a 180 MPH blower with cruise control--which means you can turn a knob to vary the blowing speed. It is also CARB Compliant which I think has something to do with its emissions, but it made me laugh.

I need a designated gas can for it so I don't mix it up with my other machines so it may be a few days before I have it up and running but I am excited to try it. Thanks guys.

Speaking of carb compliant, this is the card I received from the husband. I did not have cake--and not because my niece now has the cake plate--it was my preference this year.
